With a redesign back in 2020 and minor changes in last year's model, the 2023 Ford Explorer sees no changes.

Performance

Since no changes we're made for the 2023 model year, the Ford Explorer still uses the base turbocharged 2.3-liter 300-horsepower four-cylinder engine from last year's model. There's also a more powerful turbocharged 3.0-liter 400-hp V6 engine that's available.

Technology

An 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto comes standard on the Ford Explorer. Every model also comes with a Wi-Fi hotspot, voice-activated navigation, and a rear-seat entertainment system. And apart from the base model, each trims also has a 12-speaker B&O stereo system that comes standard.

Safety
